Dream Brother

Don't be like the one who made me so old, don't be like the one who left
behind his name, 'cause they're waiting for you like I waited for mine and
nobody ever came...

One of the greatest vocalists ever Jeff Buckley died on 29 may 1997, at
the age of 30, by drowning in the Memphis river. He left behind a legacy. His voice has a melody that enraptures me. With a range of five and a half octaves, his songs Grace, Bream brother, Best of Me and Lover you should've come over are some the most amazing songs I have heard. In fact Grace was the only album he completed.A good friend, Chris Cornell dedicated his song Wave Goodbye ( Euphoria Morning) to Jeff Buckley. Cornell has said that its one of the most straightforward songs he has ever written.Jeff Buckley wrote this song for his friend, his dream brother, so that he wouldn't leave his girlfriend and his unborn child, as he himself grew up without his father. Tim Buckley, left his mother while she was pregnant and though the father and son barely know each other their life followed a similar path. Music critic David Browne traced the lives of Jeff and Tim Buckley in
his book Dream Brother.
