Me and My Shoes

One thing I really love to do is to buy shoes...
The feeling I get when I find that perfect pair makes everything else blurry. It makes my day seem perfect no matter what has happened and yet on any perfect day if I don't find a pair of shoes it completely destroys my mood. It's as if all the joy and hope in life hinges on finding a pair of shoes. I LOVE buying shoes. It's my way of getting over things that bother me and moving on. And its not just shoes, there are so many things in life that I love, small things and yet I can't imagine my day without them, small silly little things like my cup of coffee or the perfect shade of maroon nail polish which surprisingly is the only one that suits me, the sign on my phone showing that I have new message or simply a Jeff Buckley song. When you stop to think about everyone has moments of inexplicable joy from the smallest things imaginable. For something that most of us find so elusive joy is the simplest of all emotions, it can exist in anything and everything. Joy is your favorite movie, its a strawberry milkshake, its laughing so hard that you can't stand up,its seeing something beautiful when you least expect it, its a little kid who wants to hold only your hand, its giggling at inside jokes with friends and running at the beach, or meeting someone you didn't even know you missed.
